Autism Acceptance Month: Inclusion and Respect
April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time to celebrate and promote the acceptance of individuals on the autism spectrum.
WHY ONEWELL
We work closely for individuals, families, and collaborative care teams to develop care plans that fit the needs of everyone we serve. We believe that ALL individuals have the right to live their life as they choose and opt to meet their needs by adhering to principles rooted in Everyday Lives and Charting the Life Course framework.
Intellectual and developmental disability
Community Inclusion gives those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) the opportunity to live in the community and be valued for ones uniqueness and abilities, like everyone else.
Companion Services supports individuals with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities by providing emotional support and socialization. Companions help with a wide array of tasks including: running errands, light housekeeping, scheduling social activities, and transportation to appointments.
OneWell Direct Support Professionals work closely with individuals, families, and program specialists to ensure all individuals live their life as they choose. Working 1:1 with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to meet the goals set for them by their collaborative care teams.
New Jersey Home and Community Based Supports makes it possible for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to receive services in their own homes and communities rather than in institutions.
In-Home and Community Support assists individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in acquiring, maintaining and improving the skills necessary to live in the community, to live more independently, and to participate meaningfully in community life.
OneWell Prevocational training assists individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) focus on developing good work habits and gaining the basic skills and abilities essential for employment in any field.
Rooted in the tenets of compassionate nursing care, OneWell nurses provide the highest level of responsibility and integrity. Working 1:1 with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), your individualized nursing care plan will be executed with the highest quality.
Respite care provides short-term relief for family/primary caregivers of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Respite can be arranged for an afternoon or for several days or weeks. Care can be provided in the participant’s home, or in a host family home.
OneWell Supported Employment Programs assists individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in obtaining and maintaining employment.
