Autistic Pride Day

Tomorrow, PA Health Management will celebrate Autistic Pride Day

This day specifically recognizes the importance of pride for autistic people and its role in bringing about positive changes in the broader society.

Autistic Pride Day is celebrated on June 18th every year and was first celebrated in 2005 by the organization Aspies For Freedom (AFF), so that the people with Autism could have one day where they could celebrate their neurodiversity and differences.

PA Health Management offers services that give individuals with autism the opportunity to live in the community and be valued for one’s uniqueness and abilities, like everyone else. With autism being the fastest-growing developmental disability in the world, we are proud to deliver better health and wellness outcomes for individuals and communities through innovation and quality care.

Autistic Pride Day is represented by the rainbow infinity symbol. This symbol is intended to represent the diversity of those with autism and the infinite possibilities and variations within the autistic community. Gold is used by autistic advocates because the chemical symbol for gold is “Au”.

Special Thank You to our incredible Participants featured in this video! Tiffany, Michael, and Brett you inspire us every day!
