DDD for special needs typically refers to the Division of Developmental Disabilities, a governmental agency or division within a state’s Department of Human Services or Health Services. This division is responsible for providing support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The services and programs offered by DDD aim to improve the quality of life for people with special needs by promoting independence, inclusion, and community integration.

Key services provided by DDD may include:

  2. Respite Care: Offering temporary relief for primary caregivers.
  3. Day Programs: Providing structured activities and learning opportunities.
  4. Residential Services: Offering various living arrangements and support.

  1. Are there any sports or recreational programs in Passaic county? The families of special needs children certainly do need the special services but also fun programs structured for their level. They deserve to have programs in sports and rec as well as mainstream students.
