Current Direct Support Professional

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assisting individuals in learning and developing new skills that enhance opportunities for independence and inclusion. Support may occur in the individuals’ homes or in the community.
• Supporting individuals in achieving independence goals outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISP) to enhance their progress as adults.
• Accurately documenting the services delivered and the response of the participants/families. Submitting all necessary documentation, including time sheets, in a timely manner.
• Performing all duties ethically and in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and established personnel policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Physical Demands:

This position may require working in various environments, including different housing styles and conditions, during visits to participants’ residences.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.

License/Certification:

Driver’s License (Required)
