What Is Community Participation Support (CPS)?

Community Participation Support (CPS) is a non-medical, community-based service that helps individuals build independence, develop meaningful skills, and actively participate in everyday community life. CPS focuses on increasing community inclusion, encouraging relationship building, and supporting individuals in exploring opportunities that align with their interests, strengths, and ISP goals.

Support may include participation in community events, volunteer opportunities, recreational activities, transportation training, development of communication and social skills, and access to educational or skill-building opportunities within the community. At OneWell Health Care, CPS services are individualized and community-integrated—focused on helping each person achieve meaningful outcomes, greater confidence, and increased independence through active engagement in the community.
