More Than a New Office: OneWell Arrives in El Centro

On July 22, OneWell Health Care celebrated the opening of its newest California office in El Centro, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for home care in El Centro and person-centered care across Imperial Valley.

By the end of the afternoon, it no longer felt like we were opening the doors to a new office. It felt like we had been welcomed home.

Team members greeted guests into a space they had spent months preparing. Families met the people who would soon become part of their support system. Community partners reconnected, local leaders stopped to celebrate, and representatives from California State Senator Steve Padilla’s office recognized OneWell’s growing commitment to expanding person-centered care across the state.

The room was filled with conversations, laughter, handshakes, and a shared sense of excitement. It wasn’t simply about opening another location in California—it was about bringing together people who believe in the same idea: that everyone deserves the opportunity to live with greater independence, dignity, and support.

As the celebration came to a close, one feeling remained stronger than anything else: gratitude. Gratitude for the warm reception from Imperial Valley, for the partnerships that made this milestone possible, and for the chance to become part of a community that already felt like home.

Looking back, July 22 will be remembered for far more than the opening of a new office. It was the day a community embraced the OneWell family with open arms—and we began building relationships that will last far beyond a single celebration.
